Most of it is opinion. Ive tried Fiji, tonga and Florida rock. Fiji is my favorite, nice purple colors, porus enough for filtration, etc. I also bought 100lbs of Florida rock. It was covered in mussels and other crap. I hate this stuff.

There are a few guys I know who charge $50. to show up and water changes are .50 cents per gallon. Are you going away, or just looking to stop maintaining the tank yourself??

Highly unlikely. In an ich infested tank with zero treatment, there may be a chance of the shark getting it, but I really really doubt it.
