you have to be careful on what kind of angels you put in if you plan to get any corals and also butterfly are known to eat corals to along with tirggers so if you are planing on coral becareful lol :D

you have seen my tank it is very healthy and i have use it in my tank alot times without killing anything off the only thing you will have to do is rasie your air flow in the tank it will not harm the good alge only the red slime :D

I have never found or heard of anything that will eat red slime I have always use red slime remover and it works very fast sould clear your tank up in two to three days it will run you about 20.00 bucks at you pet store good luck :D

I would not use anything but ro water because the fact you would be all the heavy metels that are in your area and you can get a good one for your hole house that will do 20 gal a day for around 600 install thru rainsoft dealer i have use it on my 125 gal reef with greet results and you sould...

what you are doing is fine but there is a safer way i have use garlic mix with brineshimp to cure ick with great results and the fish love it and it harm your tank inhabints so give it a try it also clear it up as fast as two days good luck :p
