My tank is 17 or so tall, a 40 gallon breeder style. 36x18x18 or so.

Bristleworms are a natural part of the tank, I have tons of big worms that freak out my wife. Get used to it and be happy it's there to clean up your leftover food.

So then, if I were to have 4 1" holes drilled in the bottom ~2800gph than I wouldn't really need to worry about over flowing my tank, using any pump rated for less than say 2000 ghp, then with the 10 or so feet up I would go....
