Has anyone ever heard of instant cycling? Well, I think my tank has! 2 weeks ago I set up my 45 gallon corner tank with live sand I got on a dive trip, 50-60lbs of LR, and 10 chromis.. I have not seen any ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate..... Could it be possible that the 6 gallons of live sand...

My boss keeps getting green algae all over his sand at his home tank. There is no direct sunlight and he uses 110 watt PC for lighting. He says he hardly turns the lights on...He uses the same RO water we use in our tanks at work/school that dont have any green algae. Any ideas?

I have a bristle worm in my prefilter area and he must have left his spines on the prefilter sponges becuase when I was rinsing them out I had a bunch sticking in my hands!! Its been a few hours and they still hurt... Anyone else get stuck by one of these guys?

I bought this eel about 2 weeks ago and it is constantly slipping though into my prefilter area!!!!! I cant believe he can slip through!! I am going to wait till he gets a little bigger to put him back in on the other side. He seems contant... just wanted to vent! (thats not salt creep in...

I just got these big red hermit crabs... it will be almost impossible for these guys to get eaten! they havent left each other side... they have been feverishly combing the sand... check out their blue eyes!

you buy a new fish and they get eaten!!! I bought 4 LARGE green chromis today and one of my leopards ate it after about an hour!!! They have never bothered any fish before and have never eaten live food.... Now i am down to three....... I guess thats why they call it the food chain....

I set a 150 community tank at my work about 2 months ago.... for the first 2 months it was perfectly clear... in the last week I have had a diatom breakout and the water isnt as clear as it should be...... I am running a wet/dry, skimmer, carbon, and use RO/DI water.... I even did a 40...
