Please help. My puffer is acting like he doesn't feel well. He sits on the bottom for long periods of time. When he swims he curls up his tail. He gets pale at times. The other fish don't seem to be bothering him, he eats at feeding time, but something is not right. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the input. The lights were changed recently. The algae in the pebbles can be suctioned out but comes back quickly. Maybe I need a new tang to help with this. I just wondered if this was normal as I had not seen it before.

My established 100 gal tank has recently had an abundance of purple algae on the rocks and on the pebbles on the bottom. I've had this tank for over a year and it's been established for 6 years but this is the first I've seen this. Any ideas?
