    Do I have enough light.

How can you even fit more than two 65 watt PCs above a 29 gallon? I've got a 54 corner unit and I'm struggling with this same issue. Could I add a MH and retrofit it? No room!

    I don't think so. Doesn't Fedex deliver 6 days/week?

    Fuge required for Reef??

I'd seriously consider PCs instead of the MHs. You don't have to worry about a chiller then. I'm beginning to have really good luck with mine. I've got candy cane coral for crying out loud!

    9 for 99 deals

Please share the info for them! I enjoy getting the "scraps" from the LFS for 9.99 and seeing if I can bring them back. I've had really good luck with one kind of polyp that I got for 9.99 . . . take a look . . .

    dozens of bristleworms

I'd agree with PeeJFish, find a predator that will take care of them naturally.

Freshwater help from my saltwater friends

Take out whatever your hair algae is on and scrub it with a toothbrush. Seriously, just scrub it and stick it back in. It worked for me and has for about 2 months now. Of course, you're going to need a clean up crew as mentioned herein by others. A pleco or two should do the trick.

    dozens of bristleworms

If controlled - by the amount of detritus you have, I have heard that they are excellent scavengers and are a must for any reef. Can you get some sort of predatory fish/invert to keep them at bay? That would be my suggestion to keep them in check. Good luck.

    Trip to FL Keys

We stayed at Amy Slate's Amoray Dive Resort on Largo Key. Highly recommend it. We will be sure to post pix as soon as we can from our snorkeling at "Molasses Reef" off the east coast. Although the wife got a little sick, I had a killer time. I'll be sure to include a pic of the wife looking...

    Trip to FL Keys

Ok, I now feel guilty for having these fish "trapped" in a 54 gallon tank! Key Largo was absolutely awesome. This morning I was snorkeling (can't SCUBA YET - and I mean YET) with a nurse shark, green sea turtle, barracuda, and a ton of killer reef fish like the ones we love! I saw blue tangs...

    I have some problems!

Although a crab isn't a shrimp, they're both inverts. My wife was very sad when we had to return the porcupine puffer when we decided to convert the FOWLR to a reef tank.

Just bought some new shelf rock

I've been amazed at how hearty these things can be. Of course be as careful as you can and the suggestion from JB sounds like a good one. I took out most of my LR and scrubbed it with a toothbrush to combat some serious hair algae about two months or so ago. I scrubbed this stuff, stuck it...

What kind of equipment should I get for my tank?

Although most of the people responding will tell you Metal Halides (MHs) for your lighting, I have had incredible luck with my Power Compacts (PCs). Plus, they don't require the chiller to keep the water cool and don't consume nearly the electricity. I'd suggest a biofilter and without a...
