    new salt tank

    I am a beginner in saltwater. I have a 30gal hex tank so far I have a ugf and wet dry filter and a heater. I also have about 20lbs of crushed coral and 10lbs af small crushed shells . My ? is do I need sand? and what are some options on lighting for my tank?
