I add Ca, or alk depending. Usaully every other one. My tank doesn't have a glass top and with MH it evaporates about 1/4-1/2 gal a day. So to keep PH up I add to it, RO is about 7 and you need it steady around 8. Other wise to much top off will lower PH.
