how bad is crushed coral for a substrate what could i do to keep the nitrates down when using it and is it still of for those fish that like to dig up the bottem????

i dont know how it would get clogged up see how the power head has a prefilter sponge on it preventing anything from getting down into the pvc

hey all im looking for a protein skimmer for a 125gal tank. I saw one at pet store wanted 450 for it was called a g2 or g-something but the people didnt know a brand. Id like to get one for under 200 if pos.

Has anyone built a skimmer for a larger tank if so do you have any diagrams or web sites and so on to help others like build one. I see a bunch on the www. for smaller tanks. I would also if possible like to fit this in my stand. thanks

I have mine n 1st floor not basement and i havet had any problems just make sure to run it across the floor joist instead of with them this way you ge ore support

well i got 2 of these 12 ft strans wired in my hood it but i have a 125gal 6ft long it looks really cool and all the shrimp and hermits move around alot but havent seen to much else goin on

i got rope lights tonight from walmart. they were $12. they are call hi lites indoor/outdoor. i have quick ? The blue ones are actually a blue green color when on iwas woundering if this spectrum would bother the fish if i left them on all night or if it was in spectrum they filer out
