I bought a Mandarin a couple of weeks ago but how do I know if he is eating or not? He is constantly on the move and seems to pick things off of the rock but how do I know if he is getting anything or if he is just scouting? I have 100 lbs of LR with a ton of hiding places.

I have the same problem. Mine is a hang on the back skimmer and as of the last two months it hasn't been foaming. I do weekly water changes but this is still of concern...let me know how if you hear any responses.
