    Too much flow for nano??

Here's what I'm reading: Water movement should be between 10% - 20% for FO and FOWLR systems, and 20% - 30% for a reef system. So, you would need 240-360gph of water movement according to that. Although since its a nano, I'm not sure if that would be overkill or not. Considering you have to...

    How is it doing?

How long has your tank been up and running now? Once your cycle is done, then you can do the water change and add the cleanup. After you add them, then you would wait about 2 weeks to add any fish.

    RO/DI Confuse!!??

Also, some others hook it up to the same water line that goes to their washer and put the unit along side of it. Not sure how your house is set up, but that may help also.

No problem. I have a Mac with the Superdrive so I use the DVD-R's. Other than the few costers I've made the first few times, it works pretty well. :joy:

    Fish fatality....

Thanks for all the replies. I bought another clown yesterday. The one that died was the larger of the two, so I picked up a small one yesterday. As soon as I put the new one in, they found each other and have been together since. They are both false percs, ocellaris.

Well, I tested my water when I came home from work and here's my water parameters: Ammonia: <.25 Nitrates: 5ppm Nitrites: 0ppm pH: 8.3 Looking at my other clown, he appears fine. Anything else I should look for? Also, would I be able to get another clown eventually to put in with the one I...

    Fish fatality....

I don't have a grounding probe in there. I only have one other clown as its a nano and not much room for other fish. The other fish is swimming around fine. As far as the rest, he seemed to be getting a blackness to his color. Sort of like his orange color had some soot on it, not literally...

    Fish fatality....

Well one of my clowns died this morning, the bigger of the two. Yesterday he was swimming towards the top of the tank in the back for most if not all of the day and this morning he was at the bottom and not very active. I put in some mysis for them, and he didn't really go for it. He...

    feeding clowns

You can use garlic from the store. Get a food processor and stick the seafood in there with a clove or two and let it go to town. Or you can get some Kent's Garlic Extreme and soak the food in that.

    i am a virgin

How big is your tank? As far as the tangs and angel, since they are generally larger fish, they should have a larger tank, 75ga plus. They do not do well in smaller tanks, because they need a lot of room to swim free and will get stressed in smaller tanks. Also the tank you have, was it used...

    Lights during the cycle?

I think there's a lot more to cyano and red slime than just the amount of time the lights are on during the cycle. Limiting the amount of time you have your lights on will help, but its not the only solution to keeping cyano and red slime out of the tank. IMO, I think you could get away with...
