    New LFS in LI

Just visited a new LFS that may turn out to have a good selection. Other than dry goods that seem a bit high they have dozens and dozens of tanks. Now, there is nothing in them and they had people that were preping them. They said in a week they should have live stock but I will give them a...

Live rock wanted NYC or close by.

Jugger, You have mail. I picked up 11 lbs of LR today from FTUSA. Looked good and placed it in my tank. Not much of a selection on fish today. Good ones (fish) were probably gone yesterday. Derrick

Jugger, Thanks. I will check him out. Someone told me there was this place on Hempstead Turnpike near Farmingdale. It is a person I work with but he is not into the salt water hobby. Said they have nice stiff but that could mean anything. I am thinking of a tank upgrade (72 Bow). Price...

Dead Yellow Tang - Many Questions but

Just ordered the book. Thanks. If you don't mind me asking? What are the minuses and plus of a 72 Bow? What would you choose if you could do it over again?

Dead Yellow Tang - Many Questions but

Beth, Thanks for you input. I figured the same. I learned so much in such a short time and I am very thankful for this board and the people that respond. I am looking at upgrading or having a bigger main tank. A 72 Bow or 48 Bow looks appealing. I think I will stay with my 35 Hex for now.

Live rock wanted NYC or close by.

The place is located in Brooklyn, Ralph Avenue. It is called Brooklyn %oo. I used to live there. I not only got ripped on the rock but most of the supplies. I spent $250 that day and they gave me $20 bucks off (had to check with the store owner). When I compared the prices on the net, I paid...

Dead Yellow Tang - Many Questions but

It is a 35 Tall Hex (~30"H x ~20"W), I have one domino damsel that is about three weeks old. He was added with two other fish, a blue damsel and a 3 strip damsel. The 3 striped died the next day and the blue damsel was abused by another blue damsel and evertually died. I tried to QT him but...

Live rock wanted NYC or close by.

FISHTOWN USA is definatley worth it. I bought 29 lbs of LR four weeks ago. I went to a LFS and got ripped. He charged me $7.99 a lb and told me if it smells then it is reallt good. I didn't know so I made sure I got the stink ones. I told a sales person at FTUSA to give me all the stinks...

Dead Yellow Tang - Many Questions but

OK, I know that I should not have added him to my four week old tank (it did cycle) and that the tank should have matured for a much longer time. Found the little one at the back of the tank breathing heavy and almost lifeless. A coat of dark black dust was over his body not heavy but like a...
