I searched all over this site before posting this question. I had a 75 gal FO set up with CC as the substrait. Upon reading here, I removed the CC, and added 150 lbs of Southdown play sand. Its been more than 24 hours and my tank still looks like milk. Is there anything I can do to clear this...

So they will do a transfer? Is that correct? I'm calling there later this morning to find out why another store wouldn't do it, or if it's just my local store! Thanks for the info

LM, where? I tried the internet, and the in store transfer. they wouldn't do it. Where are you seeing the sand (under the snow)? What City?

Went there, said they had 1 pallet last year, was gone in a day. How do I score 100#?

I've been looking all over for this "Southdown Play Sand", or "Yard Right Tropical Play Sand" that I read about here. I can't find it anywhere. I live in Northern Indiana. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for the replies, who has a suggestion of how to easily remove the CC from the tank with minimal mess? Also, how much sand do I need for a 75 gal FO set up? Thanks for the explanation of the rising CC Thomas! I thought it'd stay buried!

I have been advised to not use CC as the substrait. I have CC in right now, but was wondering if it'd be ok to bury it in sand? Also, I'd like to not use live sand, as I'm planning on adding 75lbs of live rock to my 75 gal fish only set up. What kind of sand should I buy?

Thanks Thomas, its already set up with the exception of the Skimmer, good lighting ( I have 1 48" blue, and 2 24" white flourescent), and Live rock is on the way. Crushed coral is already in it. This is for a fish only tank I really am looking for suggestions on what skimmer is economically...

This is my first post, but I've read and read. I'm setting up a 75 gal fish only tank. What are some suggestions for an economical skimmer to put in my sump? Also, what are some suggestions on lighting untill I can build the VHO compact hood that is in the future? I currently have 75 gal water...
