    Yea im thinking of going fresh water... I had a all fish tank and worked perfect until my girfirned messed it up and then tryed to convert it to a coral/fish tank... Fresh water seems alot easyier... But thanks for the help anyways.. I wish there was a good site like this for fresh water tanks...

    I got real good light I got the JbJ or JBL lighting I forgot cost me like $500 for it.. As far as the cycling goes thats over with I already did the cycling..

    I have a big problem with certain things dying in my tank always.. It seem that every Invert I put in my tank in dies withing 24 hours or snails they die too.. Also I put in my first "live coral" 2 rocks with these green mushrooms on them.. the guy at the store said these are almost impossible...

    Carpet alge

    I got this alge thats dominating my tank majorly. Its green and Now Very long (up to 5 inches high) and is everhwhere! Is there a way to get rid of it. I just set up my reef tank and the cycle is finnish and abotu 1 week after the cycle this stuff grew Super fast.

    well I got a 120 gallon tank.. If I wear to buy it fromt he store it would take alot of jugs eheh and it would cost more in the long run prob... Plus I rather have cleanest water possible insted of used water.

    ok thanks for the info.. what ill do is Ill take my tank now fill it with filters and copper eating liquids metal sponges maybe even carbon and take all the water out after hmm 2 weeks and fill the tank up again with the RO/DI water and that should be like a fresh new tank.

    Well that I dont agree with.. I found my solution to the problem.. my tap water is whats causing the copper not the tank... What im gonna have to buy is the RO/DI kit so I get clean water.. As soon I fill my tank up with the water im gonna use filter pads and the metal spong in there for 2 weeks...

    I know how the cycling works for fish tanks but is it different than reef tanks? Im gonna put live sand and Live rock at first. My question is this... Do I have to make the water cycle before I put this in or no? It sounds a little stupid but since the sand is "live" I dont want to make it...
