i would say to get at least a 150 watt unit. you can keep some low light corals with that. if you can afford a bigger one go for it. look at some corals you may want to keep in the future and buy the light you need. i went through 3 different lighting systems because as time went on i keep...

well clams and sps take the most light. im not an expert on either because i dont have enough light to keep the either. if you have the money look into getting a metal halide. this way your range of corals is alot bigger
