    salt clouds water

    From what I've learned on this site, Once you have fish in your tank, you want to mix and areate your salt water in a seperate container for at least 24 hours before adding it to your fish population. The reason being that raw salt added to water is irritating to delicate gill tissue.

    It's a tall 90 gal. tank. I just did a carbon and floss change yeterday and my water was at zero nitrate. I've been useing tap water till recently but have changed over to D/I water now. Thanks for replying!
