Hi all, We are planning the big move this weekend, our snowflake eel in the 72 gal is moving to the 200 and our baby snowflake eel will be moving to our 72 gal. Hubby (fixit) and I we're talking that it would be neat if we could keep both eels in the 200, I remember reading somewhere that two eels could be keep togther, but I can't remember if it said two of the same or two different breeds, can anyone help me out? Has anyone had any experience keeping 2 in one tank, either different or the same breeds. Our sfe in the 72 is about 22-24inchs in length, and our baby in the 200 is about 6-8inchs(no bigger than the size of a pencil). We would leave them both in the 200 if it would work, if there is any chance that it would be a problem then we would just switch them..
Thanks in advance to all that post...Later Lisa

well i'm sure someone will know better than me, but i would think the size difference could be a concern...but hopefully someone will chime in with an answer for you...

some eels will exhibit cannabilism among there own species, so i wouldnt do it. maybe when the little guy gets to be the size of the big guy, then maybe you could move it in there. what all is in the tank right now? if you have enough hding spaces it might work, but im not sure. at the lfs we keep all the livestock in 55 and 125 tanks, and tey usually dont mix eels unless they are 2 very big eels like tesselatas. bo
