don't mean to be the party pooper.. but comon.. go buy a 5 or 10 gallon tank.. and maybe get.. oh i dunno.. a fish maybe??, airstones aren't good, they cause popeye, i dunno if it'll bother your hermits or snails tho..

What are they supposed to eat? I think this is really sad..sorry. Wish you lived close, I'd give you a tank just to get the inhabitants you have in a reasonable size.

btw I have a 9watt lamp underneath it and I feed them daily frozen food (I use those saltwater multipacks)
fish are overated all they do is swim and empty your wallet (well not damsels but you get the point )

you should do like 1/2 pint water changes on it... get a skimmer for it immediately and atleast 3 powerheads... the air stone does not count for GPH... i bet its a beautiful display... do you have it on your desk in your 3rd grade class???

not at all... we will have proof once their 3rd grade teacher takes a pic for him/her...
a turkey baster is like 12 oz... and that might be a bit much... 1/2 pint is 8 oz... or 1 cup... which IMO would be perfect for that size "tank"...
perhaps there is something else actually in the mason jar that he/she has been takin pulls off of...

I am part of several other boards and no jokie, they are gaining popularity. Absolute micro sized. 1/2gallon is not unheard of. Not so much fishtanks, but more like mini biospheres for office desks and so on.. They do have tiny lighting and micro pumps ect. They are called Picos
