1 clowns lost his smile

I don't know why but, over the past 2 days one pec. clown has been very aggresive towards the other. Today he just wouldn't let up so I finally took the one being picked on and put him in my hos/qua. tank. They have lived together for about 3-4 months in my tank and always seemed to be the best of friends(heckle and jeckle) never one never leaving the other's side. Any idea why the one's turned violent?(It's only to the other clown.) The tank sits close to the TV- maybe too many violent shows?lol Did I neglect him as a child, not giving him enough attention?

Yes, they were both bought together as juv. Nothing has changed in the tank other than adding a cleaner shrimp. They are each about 9 inches in length. Only kidding, just over an inch. Maybe he forgot their anniversary???

It is a possibilty. Maybe try and reestablish the weaker in a few days, and if the strong is still causing problems, put the stronger in the QT, and maybe move a few things, like you just got a new fish to give the weaker a chance to build its territory.
