Hi I have in my aquarium a 4 in. panther grouper, a 5in. Strawberry Grouper, a 6 in. Blonde Naso Tang,a 5 in. painted parrotfish, a 3 1/2 in. Niger Triggerfish. Now, I just purchased a 1 in. Clown Triggerfish. Now it's to small to stay with the 2 groupers, so I had a problem.I got it a net breeder so it grows fast and then I could put it in with the rest of the fish. Now I was wondering if you know anyway to speed up the process of it's growing.

well I mean obviously if you feed it more it will get bigger faster, but you really can't speed up nature in the sense you mean.

what size tank do you have with the other fish in? since he is so small i would suggest putting him in something like a 20 gallon for grow out. im not real sure of triggers growth rates. but i tihnk if you put him in your tank the grouper might make a meal out of him. is the strawberry grouper a miniatus or cherry grouper? never heard of a strawberry. feed him a wide variety of foods to speed his growth too. feed chopped meaty foods(clams, mussels, silversides, squid, etc.), some flake(since he is so small he will probably eat it), some frozen foods(krill, shrimp, etc.) do you trust your lfs? maybe you could give them your trigger for a while to hold until he gets big enough to go to your tank. that is if you trust them to take good care of him. later, bo
oh yeah 2 groupers in a tank usually dont to to well together unless it is a big tank. some will go together if they are as different looking from one another as possible. the panther is a more mild grouper while the strawberry/miniatus is much more agressive. you might be ok with them since they are both rater small rite now.

Warm water makes fish grow faster-and die faster too! It speeds up their metabolism.
