Hi, first post after tons of reading
I was wondering if a fuge for a 10 gal would be enough filtration for
the tank?
thanks for any answers

Im going to be running a fuge and skimmer on my 10 gallon nano im in the progress of drilling right now. A fuge would work but for best results I would get a small skimmer. Im going to be using the new coralife 65 skimmers. They are cheap and work pretty good based on experiences people have shared with them.

my advise would be to forget the refugium because in doubling your water amount really u are forgeting the principles of a nano: small, simple, cheep, beautiful. Just do the natural method and grow some macro algae in the tank. You can always trim it down if it gets to big and feed it to some herbavorous fish like tanks or rabbitfish

nano mantis stop telling people this.nanos arent cheap theyre pretty espsensive and you need the right equipment for stability because in smaller tanks water quality is hard to maintain.Fogger going with a sump/fuge is one of the best things you can do.make the sump put the skimmer where the water goes into the sump then the fuge in the middle and then the pump in the end.yes a skimmer is also a very good think for the tank.oh yea make belive Nanomantis didnt even post

nano mantis, i hope you were not referring to telling people to put a tang or a rabbitfish into nano tank to control the macros, now that would just be insane and nothing but toture on the poor fish.
