i am getting that 10 galon tank that i posted earlier but can i jut take some water out of my 29 it has been set up for 6 months and is doing very well. has anybody done that if so can i put in corals sooner than??? does anybody want to buy a 46 gallon tank look in classifieds moving soon

oh so srry my brother typed that he wants to get rid of that asap but i am going to use lr from my 46 my friend is buying it and is turning it to fresh so i am taking that and put some in my nano and some in my 29 srry about my brother

when you use the LR from another tank and it's water it will still need to be watched and tested for a spike .. but i think it might be okay

I have always set up my QT tank this way. I hated having an extra fishless tank around, so I made one as I needed one. Set up a 10 gal tank for my sons room that way also--used the water, sand, and LR from the same tank, added a perc that was getting pushed around from the main tank the same day. Never had a problem, but since your tank is still young and your using rock and water from 2 different tanks, I would say to test to be safe also.
