so i have a 10 gal tank and 2 30 gal filters on it will this work and a power head? i no it works but i had to much crushed coral sand bed nitrate got to high so Im starting over help wonted.

Hello, and welcome to the site.
High nitrates are controlled by doing water changes. If you are only keeping fish with live rock, nitrates up to 40 is tolerable (rock has inverts living in it...fish really don't care about nitrates).
Tell us all about your tank..10g is hard to keep the parameters in check. in saltwater, the larger the tank the easier it is to keep. The more we know about your system, the better we will be able to help.

  • What kind of water are you using? RO(Reverse Osmosis) or tap water....

  • How much live rock do you have?

  • What kind of power head are you using?

  • What brand of filter do you have?
    What type, and how much substrate?
    What type of test kit are you using?
    Do you have a heater?

well lets start
power head. Biocube 250 GPH
filter 1. aqueon
filter 2.top fin with foam
10 lb live rock
1 lb of live sand-just to cover.
and a heater that i had.
API masters test kit.
PH 8.0 - 8.2
ammonia 0.00
nitrite 00 ppm
nitrate 20 ppm
this is after water change with deep sand bed.
