Well, after starting a 10 gallon nano for softies under a 96W quad, I decided to remove the small sandbed after 2 months and go bare bottom! After a simple conversion process and no deaths, the new setup looked cleaner and was easy to siphon up detritus and algae.
After things stabilized I picked up some small frags (for free), and also bought a few nice corals. All have been in there for 2 weeks (except my favorite which I added today), and are looking good and show signs up propagation. Enjoy.
