100 gallon and emperor?

I'm looking to go towards a fish-only tank for my next tank. I recently posted a question asking about tank size for an emperor in which a 120 gallon was suggested. Question is...I recently got a wonderful offer on a 100 gallon tank. I'm intent on accomodating an emperor and is a 100 gallon suitable or no? If not, than I won't get the tank...just wondering. I just want what will be best....

I really haven't decided. I thought I would first focus on getting the tank set up and then concentrate on the fish. I'm just really gearing towards an emperor. I believe they are one, if not the, most beautiful fish. Their grace and agility...well...we won't get into it. :D I saw a 180 gallon at my lfs the other day...hmm...*light twinkles.* Maybe...in more realistic terms...I wish! Just whatever is necessary...if an emperor would be more content in a tank larger than 100...that's fine with me...the problem is just finding the tank. I mean...the setup doesn't necessarily have to be aggressive...I like the little fishies too. I'm not looking for World War III here, just some larger fish suitable for accompanying my prized emperor (or should I say the one that WILL BE my prized emperor) lol. :)
