Hey guys. Today i purchased an 100 gallon saltwater aquarium. It is up and running and im getting my first fish on thursday. My problem is it will be an agressive aquarium. My friend told me to put in damsels , then they will eventually become lunch for the planned triggers that will go in. My wife doesnt want to have to see that and would rather put in the puffers first. ( $15 vs $45) What do you think would be the best choice?

Do not put any fish in the tank on Thursday. Instead, read the guide for new hobbyists that is a stickey in the New Hobbyist forum. In particular, take a look at how to properly cycle a new tank so all of your fish will have a chance to survive.

Ok. Just do you know, i got it on monday. I found out about this site yesterday. I completed the cycle and tested water. Which fish do you think would be better though to start with, damsels that will be lunch or puffers?

woah, slow down there trigger.
Actually test your water. Buy a test kit if you don't have it. Wait for the ammonia to rise and fall, the nitrite to rise and fall and then wait for the appearance of nitrate. Start reading the guides in this forum before buying fish. You WILL kill fish if you keep going at this pace.
