100% water change

if you were to replace 100% of the water in a yr old tank would it cycle again ?

like he said most of the bacteria is going to live on your LR and in your sand bed and your filter. it also depends on whats in your tank, how much LR what kind of substrate and how deep and what is the bioload? but the most important question has already been asked, why? i can see no good reason to do a 100% water change, but if you know one go ahead and tell me.

why??? but if u must. try it like this....
-Remove and replace 20 percent of the water daily.
-Do this for 5 days.
-you may not get rid of all the water but u will most
-this is also less stressful on ur fish etc....

thanks for the replies.this is not something I am going to do. it is a ? that I read before on the bb that no one had answerd..I thought the tank would cycle and fish would be streesed to the max,just trying to expand my knowledge
