Is my memory serving me correctly?? An anemone can live (give or take) to 100 years?? I bought one, like so many people, I thought they were cool. Well, I still think that but now I am more into corals and the entire side of my tank inhabits only that anemone. I can give him away, but I hate parting with pets. UGH!

In the wild, nobody really knows how long they live. Perhaps several hundred years. Unfortunately in a captive system, they all too often live only a few months because of inadequate water parameters, lighting ect. In a good system, they theorhetically could live many, many years.

In an ideal environment (free of predators & diseases, perfect water, etc.) anemones can virtually live forever because they can regrow any part of their body.

I guess that's another issue to push then. Once you get one, your stuck with it. You hafta will it when you die like a parrot. What to do, what to do... :notsure:

Not yet. Pretty much my whole set up was done for and around this anemone. I upgraded my lighting 3 times for only him (at the time), I think I gotta part with him, but I am not ready just yet. He's just a plain ol' BTA and a little ugly at that!! Maybe soon.
