10g Sump + 10g Refugium

Ok so after a few more hours of research, I read something about this being possible. I have just enough room under my 55g for 2 10g tanks and equipment to run them. Someone said that if one is elevated higher than the other it can be done without having to worry about flooding or running multiple pumps. Does anyone have any information and/or possibly a drawing so I could start working on building it asap.

I have other threads active on this same issue. As far as placement on the holes being drilled, are there any rules as to where they should go. The first tank will be the refugium which drains into the sump. Both are 10g tanks.
