11000 HQI Bulb

I was looking to buy a Metal Halide Pendant on the big auction site. It comes with a 150 watt 11000 HQI Bulb. I was wondering if this is the right bulb for a reef? I can't seem to find any info on it. :thinking:
I've been surfing this forum for about 6 months but this is my first post. I thank everybody for making this a great place for info.

Glad you decided to jump in RR!! A 11000k is fine, what brand of bulb is it?? Typically anything 6500k and up will do for a reef but 6500k is really yellow so supplementing is usually a good idea. A 11000k should be a crisp white light, it "should" also put out a good par level.
