12 gal nano skimmer

can you guys and girls lend some advice,have a 12 gal nano,all seems good started the nano because i had to down size from my 75 gal so i kept the corals i could fit in the tank but,i have a question on using a skimmer in the 12 gal,[yes or no]would like to hear some thoughts,thankyou all,happy holidays.

I think skimmers are unnecessary on most all tanks (though they do offer some good insurance). On small tanks like ours, I think they are overkill. Don't overstock, don't overfeed and you'll be fine.

jacksonpt is right skimmers are totally unnecessary on every tank.do everything jackson said with a water cgange once a week and you will be perfect!

I totally disagree. I do water changes on my tanks every week and my skimmers pull out thick green slime. I'd rather not leave that in my tank. There is no such thing as overkill for filtration.

Skimmers can skim out small food particulate that corals eat. So it may be a huge deal for a small tank, where as a big tank, not so much. Just like UV has pros and cons, i think skimmers do too.

I agree. Just do a 10% water change once a week or so and you should be fine.
