I know that I have planned this many many many times. Well now that it looks like I will have a job I can go through with this one. I would like to have your input on which tank is better to get. After we settle that I will then go into the details, get it on paper, and start saving my pennies.
Thanks to all of you!

I'd go with a 55 gallon sump. Are you planning on doing a refugium?

Yes. I was thinking of making the refugium a foot and a half long. And the other compartments for the pumps, intakes, skimmer, and the phosphate reactor.

Be careful when planning the 55 as a sump/refugium; its a very tall tank. When placed under a typical manufactured stand, there is zero room to move equipment into and out of the sump. Why both a mag and a quietone pump? I personally would go with the 6000 as a return pump rather than the 3000 if thats what you are using it for. JMO

just for sake of argument , this was my 125 with a 55 sump/fuge under it,
just like scopus tang said not much room to work in the sump...

Why the two pumps? It saves energy and it actually costs me less since I already have one pump.
What would be a good sump?
