120 Plumbed into Basement.

Well here it is. Took me over a year to save for this monster. (In my eyes...Monster). Its a 120 Gallon reef plumbed through my hardwood floors to the basement. In the basement I have three tanks. The sump which is approximately 50 gallons which holds my Precision Marine Bullet II skimmer, Tunze autofill, Two filter socks one draining from display, other from the Live Rock Tank and Refuge tank.

I have a MTC Pro-Cal and about 17-20 Mangroves which apparently are rooting nicely. This tank has been set up since July 5th of this year.

Im really not sure why captions are not appearing. Its confusing without them. I wrote what everything was but it is not appearing.

Why you ask, because of the filter socks? Was wondering about that myself. What are you recommending?

Hey, CAM...could you explain a little bit about how the system works? To me it looks like the drain water from the tank comes in via one set of the grey spa flex pipe into a filter sock. And then your rock tank and your fuge are fed from the mag pump then the drain water from those comes back into the sump via the second set of gray spa flex pipes? The yellow external pump feeds the skimmer and the one in the back is the return? And then your reactors are drawn and return to the sump as well? Am I even close? lol
What's going on with the tank full of rock...are you keeping that all live or just using it grow bacteria?
Off the top of my head I'm thinking lose the filter sock on the return from the fuge and bio/rock tank. That is if it works the way I'm thinking.

No prob, thanks for showing interest. Very correct. One set of grwy flex PVC drains from display up stairs into filter sock. Other set drains from a live rock tank and a refuge which is fed by the Mag in the sump. The large black pump which is a Reeflo barracuda is the return to the display and the small yellow pump feeds skimmer (Precision Marine Bullet II). My Calcium Reactor is a MTC ProCal (and its a monster, AWESOME product) and that is pulled from the sump as well. The point of the Live rock tank is just that. More live rock the better. I will have to load new pics. My Mangroves are growing like CRAZY and my tank is more established. Will post soon. Did I cover it all? Y you think remove sock from refuge and LR tank? Pods?

Not sure, CAM! I don't know if the filter sock would filter out all the pods or not. Off the top of my head I would think that it would be limiting their ability to make it to the display. The set up looks nice though. How's that skimmer working for ya?

I really don't have anything to compare my skimmer to. Before this I had a 46 gallon bow tank with a hang on Red Sea Prism skimmer. LOL, so compared to that its unreal! It skims and seems to be producing a good amount of foam. Its not too dirty the tank so the foam is not a dark color all the time. Actually right now it kinda looks like soap suds. When the tank is dirty it produces brown crap.
