Well i learned from my mistakes and i finally bought some that is actually going to make this alot easier. First of i started with 72 gal bow front but the lfs never told me anything about overflows as i was new to saltwater. So i started reading and learning. Sold that tank and got 110 tall acrylic tank. Another bad idea i don't feel like cleaning a tank all day long and have the feeling that i almost swimming in the tank itself. So i cam across this 125 gal now I'm happy tank. Bought it off ---- for $510 I went to look at it to make sure it was in good condition it came with corner overflows. odyssea mh 3x 175 watt 2x 65watt pc 2x 64 antic 12 blue moon lights. came with a amiricale sump 36 watt uv and a needle wheel style skimmer unsure of the name but will find out. here is a pic i think there is some where in the neighborhood of 300lb of rock looking to trim some that down some came out of my old 110 including ls. i just currently built my drains from my main tank to the sump will get pics up shortly. just bought it Saturday cleaned it up set it up and here is what i have so far for a pics i will post some tomorrow of my sump.

This project was fun but took approximately 12 hours or so Thank god home depot is like 5 min from my house. We i used a lot of ball valves and unions only to facilitace the ease of taking apart and controlling water flow.
Here is a pic of main drain to sump

New updated main drain Cap you see toward you is for water changes.

20 gal long refuge with right side drain in it. from old 110 sump.

well i knew i should have taken the extra time to plumb it the right way the first time but when i set this up it was late and i need to sleep. The modifications were to the refuge drain which i was using i return pump back to the sump. So i took out the pump and went with the gravity drain which is what i was going to doo just ran out of time that day. Here are some pics. Took me about 1hr to drill the hole with a dremel xdr 400
Bulkhead on skimmer side of the refuge/skimmer tank

Drain pipe set on and angle to the sump yes there is a valve and to unions for control of flow and taking apart

The bulk head back to the sump.

lookin good, the only thing i would suggest is making a unique aquascape and more open area for corals to grow and fish to swim. Maybe the island look or the pillar look. N e ways it looks like your off to a great start

Funny you say that cause there was over 300 lbs of live rock in that pic i since got rid of 100 lbs now there is around 200+lbs and the new aqua scape was based on what the wife kind of wanted which is cool i like to get the entire family involved. I like the open space in the middle of the tank and there is alot of swimming space now i think placement of corals will be key.

well i just bought a 13w pc light made by finnex never heard of them bought i figured i give it a try it looks nice but it will be hidden by the stand. It's roughly 15 gal or so refuge and it is nicely light up so i should have no problems hopefully.

Well when I bought the tank the odyssea mh lights came with it they are 3 175w mh 10k with 2 65w 12k pc and 2 65w blue antics. All it had was three power switches to control power. That is a problem for me cause i work construction and it is to early in the morning to turn on the lights 4 am and to late to turn them on at 6pm when i came home so i bought 2 intermatic model ST01C timers @ (BIG CHAIN HARDWARE STORE). I will use the sunrise to sunset feature that it has so it will turn on lights to at sunrise and shut them off at sunset it self adjust these times daily. roughly 12hrs of light. if is to much i will have to program times that will work i just used a ruler to measure out the center points and a dremel400 xdr with cut off wheels and a diamond bit to file down the sharp edges.
Here are some pics
