Hi I have a 125 gallon tank, its been set up for about a month and a half now but all it has in it is 2 clown fish so far I was about to add 100lbs of live rock. Anyway I was wondering how much water I could take out of my tank without my tank crashing or going into re-cycle and killing my fish.. Thank you

Is your tank drilled or not drilled?

if the rock you're adding isn't fully cured, or has any die-off, then adding the rock will start a cycle. if you have a good bit of LR in there already, you could add base rock without a cycle

set up a 15 gallon qt. Use some rock and fill it up with water you have in your tank now. Get a small filter and no sand. Then add rock. You will have some die off. It will cause some spikes. Theyw ont be big but why risk it? Then in two weeks re add your fish
