I am having trouble with the built in "surface Skimmer" on my new 12g Aquapod nano tank. It is NOT and I mean NOT working at ALL, the surface of the water has some serious stuff on it, and it doesnt even look like it works at all. Any thoughts? should I just buy one of those skimmers that are for nanos, the Actual skimmers? or is there something I can do?
Thanks for the advice

Not familiar with the Aquapod but does it have two banks of slots to let the water into the back? One bank at the top and one towards the bottom. If so you can, with a pc. of plastic, block off some of the bottom slots to force more of the water to exit the display at the top ones.
Never mind just looked at one. Is the blue sponge still in there? Is it dirty restricting flow? See the two small banks of slots lower down the wall? I would try blocking them off some, not completely, but enough that it forces more water through the top teeth.

There is a slot at the bottom, one in the middle, and then the top teeth.
The blue sponge is in there, down towards the bottom two slots.
Should I move that? or is that good? Is that even needed?
what does anyone use for pieces of plastic? Sorry I am not very crafty lol
