I am in the process of fixing a 135 gallon and was wondering about stocking suggestions. The one fish I really want to have and stock around is a humu trigger. I was thinking about getting a smaller puffer like a orange fiji, and some tangs. Let me know what yall think.
One suggestion I can offer is don't put the humu trigger in first. Triggers can get pretty agressive to new additions once established. Depending on your stock list, add it last or close to last. You usually want to add fish in order of agression, least agressive first.
Yeah I was planning on doing that, which is why I want to nail down my list first. To (hopefully) avoid any territory wars. What do you think about putting some dwarf angels in, would they do well with the trigger?
Any of the bigger dwarf angels, like the Half-Black, Lemonpeel, Keyhole, etc should be fine with a Humu. I had a Half-Black with a Humu before, no real issues. Stay away from any of the more passive dwarf angels, like a Potter's, Multicolor, etc.

Dwarf angels are ok too. In fact I had a flame angel and humu together and there was no agression.
I can double this quote. I had my flame first, which he always stuck to the rock going in and out. Once I got my humu there was no change in the flames attitude and no aggression by the humu. There is some aggression by the humu during feeding time towards my clownfish but that situation is being taken care of.
okay, humu trigger,
purple tang, maybe yellow tang to? (i know tang police getting me on this but i have seen a purple and yellow get along before.)
puffer,
Blue hippo tang?
wrasses
jawfish?
