14 Biocube mods

Did some mods with my new 14gl biocube. Swapped out the hood for a 70wt Sunpod MH.
Removed the filter compartment and cut out sectrions from chamber 1 to 2 so could have one larger fuge for chaeto.

Siliconed it back in and scrapped the paint off the back of tank and siliconed a small reflector with a 10wt daylight bulb for chaeto. This is looking down into the back with the fuge light on. This way I can run the light at night and not have spill-over into the tank.

Fuge with chaeto. I basically pulled out everything, replaced pump with a maxijet 900 and added a small 50wt heater where the pump is. Working pretty good.

Moved LR and zoos from other tank in. For those familiar with the Bio-cube, I closed the bottom grate where water enters the back so all flow would be at top surface skimmer. I closed off part of it to skim more of surface area.

Black silicone was about $5, but I had some left over from a tank I repaired for a friend who paid for it, and a light from Walmart for less than $5. That's about it. Chaeto I had in another system. I would like to add that one of the fans started making a racket so I called Oceanic and talked to customer service and they were aware of a problem with the fans and are sending a replacement, but I have also been having a problem with my moonlights flickering and I talked to some guy there that treated me as though I were a dumb a**. I was really suprised that a customer service would treat someone like that and they wouldn't do anything about the lights. Said I would have to return the ENTIRE unit to where I bought it. Well, I have it up and going with LR, LS and corals so I will learn to live with it. Won't deal with or buy Oceanic again though.
