i currently moved my 60 gallon to a a new 140 gallon glass tank
the trnasfer was good evrything lived and was fine the wter came out perfect
here are some pics of my new 140 gallon tank

i currently have a
lion fish
porcupine puffer
snowflake eel

hes underneath the roman pillars thats his spot lol

i want to get a
powder blue tang
blonde naso tang
maybe a powder brown tang
but i think i need more algae on my rocks because tangs are algae eaters i have good live rock but not much algae on it do i need more algae before getting the tangs? or is it ok to just subsitute the algae with see veggies?
and aslo would it be possible to have some coral reef life in my tank with these fish?
not the hard coral that needs special lights for it to live. but the like mushrooms and things like that i dont want to make it a full on reef tank but i would like some reef life in the tank if possible. is this possible???
any comments are greatly appriciated

First off, if you want that many tangs, i would suggest adding ALOT more live rock. Healthy tangs will pick at the rock all day and will need 100+ pounds of it.
With all those big messy fish i would suggest keeping the tank FOWLR.

Agree with azul on the additional rock. You need the biofiltration with that many pooing fish. Then start buying some macro algae to include in the display for them to munch on. Also an algae clip with some Nori daily.
Pretty tank.

Yes i was planning on adding alot more live rock before i get the tangs definetly my tank looks so bare right now. im not positive on how much rock i have right now but i should have at least 100 pounds for them to be munching on???
and i should get all the rock bulid up some algae and maybe a couple reef corals nothing crazy or anything big. then get the tangs??? does that sound suitable for my situation lol ???

Sounds like a plan. Try for about 1-1.5 lbs per gallon of water. Buy some macro algae from you LFS (try to stay away from Caulerpa) and get it established in the tank; Get your parameters in check and that go for it.

With the porky I wouldn't try any softies. Puffers like to chew on anything and they especially like coral. It almost looks like he likes to chew on your lion a little bit. You'll find alot of people here are huge fans of Live rock, and they aren't wrong. Life rock will help out alot with your parameters.

no i used to have a Blue-Line trigger he started messing with my lion fish pretty bad i had to get rid of him

but my puffer dosnt chew on anything not even hermit crabs nothing at all that was one of my main concerns at first but im not worried about it
but yes definetly alot of live rock i need i was thinking of ordering it because my LFS has tons of live rock so dam much but none really have colors not no algae really built up on it you know

Nothing you buy is going to be colored really pretty. That usually developes in the tank. And with pretty much everything you buy it will need to cycle before you drop it into the tank.

You understand the nitrification process right? Well the rocks will have die off in them which will have to decomposed and go through the NH4-no2-no3 cycle. Even stuff you get online will most likely not have any growth on them, and what they do will probably die.
When they refer to parameters they are talking about the ammonia Nitrate and Nitrite and whatever else they measure calcium salinity ect. Since liverock is soo pourus it has alot of the the benificial bacteria that breaks the toxins down. So the more you have the more of that bacteria you have the more of a safety net you have, especially since all three of your fish are messy.
