14G BioCube more flow, what to use?

OK I think its time to upgrade my powerhead on the stock 14G BioCube. Does anyone (DeMartini) have any suggestions on what would work and fit nicely in the BioCube's compartments. I believe MaxiJet is bantered around a lot, but should I go with the 900 or 1200 for a 14G? I want to increase flow but not knock stuff over, so is the 1200 too powerful?
As always thank you for any assistance you can provide.

I have a 1200 and it doesn't really blow my sand around, but then again I have the nozzle pointed straight out.

Bruder...does the maxijet fit in the original PH compartment or do you have it in the DT area?

I would go with the 1200 and use a "Y" to split the locline. That way you can have the flow going in 2 directions. Also, you might want to look at the GPH of the stock pump. I was about to trade the pump in my 29g biocube out for a MJ1200 but when I pulled it out it was actually more GPH than the 1200.

Hi Steve,
The stock PH on the 14G BioCube is only rated at 137 gph. Would the MJ1200 fit inot the compartments of the biocube or does it sit in the DT?
I can't find the maxi's locally but before I order one online I want to verify this will fit.
Thanks for the help,
Chris

Chris-
You'll have to measure but I think it should fit. Just look up the specs of the MJ1200 and measure your compartment.
I would also have the locline fittings to split the return just in case it's too much flow for one direction.
Good luck
Steve
