Great looking nano! It looks like 100% of your live rock is covered in coralline algae. How did you get it to grow so fast?

honestly, it's all about the light. i have a 72 watt aquarium top series. Also, keeping good and consistent water quality for a long period of time.

Criticism???
Hmmm...maybe you could add some corals with different colors like green star polyps, blue mushrooms, green brain, or green plate. :D
I like a variety of color in my tanks. But, I still think yours looks great.

actually if you look below the firefish and the left mushroom, you can see a green blob. thats a little rock of green star polyps. but yes, i do agree that i need more coral. but i only started putting in coral a month ago, so I'm really on a limited budget here!!!! especially when im trying to save some money for a system in my big green van!

looks good. if you are on a budget, see if there are any locals willing to hook you up with frags for free or at a low cost. hth.

frags is short for fragmentations or cuttings. there are several ways to frag corals depending on the coral. basically you get a small piece of the original coral for your tank that will grow into its own seperate colony. hth.

Approximently how much did that set up cost minus the LR and corals? I would love to try something small but after what my 75 cost me it's hard to talk about setting up another tank. I would like to know what lights you use and the cost, and any other filtration you have, and equipment.

ok, it's simple. filter is millenium2000, $30. light is aquarium top series, $90. couple powerheads, $30. tank itself, $20. it doesnt cost that much, at least compared to a 75. maintenance is fun and relatively easy.
