150 gallon FO - puffer compat.

All,
I started my 150 gallon recently and all seems to be going well, (except for the loss of a nice looking queen angel for some weird reason). Anyhow, my stock list currently consists of the following:
1 Adult Emperor (4")
6 Green Chromis (1" @)
1 Coral Beauty (2" or so)
2 cleaner shrimp
24 Blue legged hermits
24 turbo snails
Anyhow, after the queen died , with no sign of disease or other issues I started thinking about what I wanted in the tank. The store I frequent said they would give me a very large lunare wrasse for my tank since the queen did not live that long. Although the fish is colorful, I am not sure I want it. My g/f and I would like to get a puffer fish for this tank. My issue is that I really like the green chromis the way they swim, as well as the angel and coral beauty.
I would also like to keep a little room in case my yellow tang or hippo tang get a little to big for my 70 gallon reef. Right now they are very happy there. Anyhow, I am wondering what type of puffer I could possibly get, if any. We really like the stars & strips puffer and would like to get a juvenile so that they get along with the tank mates. Is this possible? What special considerations are there? Are they susceptible to any certain diseases? Are they ick prone? Will they eat the shrimp or other hermits/fish? Please advise, we would like to get one soon, because we want to tell the guy to hold off on the lunare wrasse. We currently have a stars and stripes on hold at an LFS that we want to pick up today. With the latest developments on airlines, we are trying to jump at finding one. It has been tough. This is the fish we really want, just need to make sure the tankmates are compatible. It looks (from reading) they should be ok, only problems might be the shrimp and snails. The cleaner shrimp are quite large (2-3") and the s&s is a juvi.
TIA,
Andy
