Just wanted to post what I have in my tank now and plan on getting; to get some feed back.
I have: Stars and Stripes Puffer, SF eel, a huge domino damsel, niger trigger and Vol. Lion.
I plan on getting an angel and another tigger. I would like to get a clown, but I hear they can be bi-polar.

Yeah my Niger doesn't bother my lion. I had a puffer once before and a lion and they did great.

I meant a trigger or puffer with a lion, triggers and puffers together is OK

Yeah we know but theres no problems with them. They get along good.

For now... But triggers and puffers have a tendancy to pick on the lion's fins. Maybe someone else will answer

Most of the time, I'd say the same thing but...I had a 10" Porc with a 15" Volitan and they'd been together since they were both 3" - 4" long.
When people say "Puffers will nip fins", they're mainly referring to the Tobie family of Puffers...the Dwarfs.
Some Triggers will nip fins, but I also kept my large Volitan with Blue Throat and Black Durgeon Triggers.

I thinks its just like people, you have some good ones you have some bad ones. If I come to find out its a problem I will sell or trade a fish.
