Hello Everyone. Been about a year since I been here. I had a 55 gallon ( actually still do just not setup) I had to move so I gave away all my fish and I shut down my Tank for a bit. I am going to get back in to the hobby ( I should have picked a less expensive hobby I am thinking though ) I know want to tread into the 150 gallon realm.
What I want to know is what is the basic req. I am going to need with this tank to keep it operational. Now remember I don't own a bank so I dont need TIP TOP on the line stuff. I looked in the internet and didn't really find the info I was looking for. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What kind of tank do you want to start ? Reef - FO - Agressive ? We need a little more info than just 150 GAL.

Ooppss Sorry about that it was kinda late last night when I posted that and I did not double check it, Sorry again. FO is the way I am going. I don't know if I really want to venture in to an agressive tank yet I think it would be the fun. With my 55 it was a basic normal CC for the bottom with and undergravel filter and one over the back. It was lets say a real basic yet BORING :( tank. I have been reading around and looking at other tanks and most are reef tanks when they get above 100. It will be FO in the tank. Thanks :D

Use a deep sand bed this time instead of the crushed coral. It will keep your tank cleaner.

Ok sand for the bottom. Now I am knew to that so I am guessing bottom filtation will NOT be needed unlike CC. So what kind of pumps and filtatrion will be used on 150 gallon. I have looked and looked around websites and have yet to see a getting started with 150. I am kinda liking the idea of an aggressive tank though. ;)

You will need about 6 to 8 powerheads for circulation and a good protien skimmer. If you get about 150 lbs or so of liverock you will not need any other kind of fitration.
