150 Tank Setup!

Hey Guys! So I finally got things going on my 150G last week and wanted to share the setup process with you and get some comments and advice what I am doing!
So far here is what I have done!
- Purchased around 140lbs of LR
- Aquascaped, Aquascaped, Aquascaped... and then aquascaped more!
- Setup tank with all piping (Which was a bit of trouble, had to go to Lowes around 8 times to get the correct PVC connections, and hole drill bit to drill the 40g sump)
- Decided to cut off the return PVC pipes and went with vynil tubing from my Reeflo Dart Pump!!! (Pics below)
- Took about a week to finish setting everything up
- Then had a problem with some leaking from the PVC connectors leaving the pump heading to the return.

For the Sump I decided to go with Chaeto for the macro algae, which I got from the guy I bought the tank from!
Set up the Sump and LR finally. Had the Detritus cloud settle two days ago!
Going to be setting up my Remora Pro tomorrow to start skimming. I plan to upgrade to a ASM G2/3 in the near future.
And for lights I am having a set up 48 inch 8x54W Sunlight Supply Tek Lights delivered the end of this week!

Some Questions about Cycling the tank! Got some dead fish from LFS and got Ammo. to peak at about .75 then took out.
- Levels have been getting better but PH has stayed at around 8.7?? Any ways to get it down or just wait out until I get 0's across the board for the param?
Here is so more pics of the set up (QT on the far left, 55g that is being transferred into 150, and the cycling 150 on the right!... and an awesome Pool Table in the middle! haha)

haha ya... Didnt have a choice tho. Only place to put it in the house! We are going to be moving the table further away so it we be a little more safe!
But anything on how to lower the PH?

Hah, I woudn't even think about playing on it until you move it.
I've had too many close calls just at the pool hall.

Thats good that my roommates and I arnt very good and really dont try to hit the balls very hard! hahaha
any other comments on the tank? Will get some more up tonight with the new aquascaping!

That black base rock in the middle is en extremely large piece that I was giving for free for buying all of the other LR! Excited to get some coral on it!

what do you guys think?

nice start-up..i like the rock work...i went with flex hose myself..way easier to install..imo u should have held out on buying the remora and saved ur money for the asm. u don't really need to run a skimmer right off the bat...nice lights tho, u will be able to keep wat ever u want...

I originally bought the remora pro for my 55g. As it was being shipped I came in possession of this tank... Just my luck! In the future when I set up another tank I will be using the Remora for that!

The LR has some nice coloring. where did you get it?
Honestly, I found this guy on Craigs List, who used to on a LFS, and has about 300 clients that he services that collects LR, Cures it and then sells if for $2/lb

It is looken good. I get ton's of free staff from all of the pet stores here because I spend so much money and time there. Keep up the good work.

so far I have my Foxface, 2 firefish, and 2 perc's in the tank as of Saturday! And they LOVE IT!
I love having more room!

nice looking foxface, even if it is sideways.
I bought one about a month ago and it still hides in the LR. it only comes out when its time to eat

Mine will never hide unless someone runs up to the tank. He is ALWAYS swimming around from side to side! Was sure about him at the LFS but when i brought him home and got him in my tank I loved it!

Going to be getting some more pics up soon. Just recieved my T5 lighting fixture and will be setting that up!
