150w MH sps

I have a 12 gallon nano and a 150 w viper lamp over the tank. The arm on the light extends about 12-14 inches and that is how far i have it above the water. what distance should i put the light at for best performance without burning anything up? sps is what i really want to be happy.

burning SPS with 150w is not going to happen. put it as low as you can without sacraficing full coverage, excessive heating of the water or splashing.
