150w mh with 250 ballast

Im looking for a 36in light with 2 150mh and all i can find is 2 250 and i dont want that much light so is it possilbe to run 2 150 bulbs or will the ballast over power the bulbs.

THe ballast will overdrive the lamps, causing significantly reduce life at best or arc tube explosion at worst. Don't do it.

Besides, 150w DE lamps won't fit into the socket for a 250.
