150w or 250w?

Seems like I answer my own question when I ask myself. But I have some of the greatest arguments with myself. So I'll ask you too.
I have a 36g corner tank... 21" tall. Would you put a 150w or 250w MH over it? I can do the math... 150w is over 4w per gallon. Should be plenty for SPS or whatever I want to hold. But 250w hanging a little higher above the tank might be nice... and potentially be better if I upgraded down the road.
Of course, the chances of me upgrading this tank in the near future is slim. I'm probably in this project for the next few years easily. 250w would also be pushing over 7w per gallon... which seems crazy! I don't want to melt anything in my tank.
So, your opinion is needed. 150w or 250w? I know 175w could be an option, but I planned on doing a Phoenix 14k which only comes in the DE. I thought.
I want something that needs NO actinic supplement, and is a nice blue/actinic look to it.

i would say if you are going to upgrade to a taller tank in the near future go with the 250. if you dont see that ever happening then the 150 will work fine.

I'd be sure to hang it from a joist nonetheless. A halide falling into the tank will ruin your day.
