also how does this sound for a clean up crew?
- Astraea Turbo Snail $0.90 x 5 = $4.50
- Cerith Snail $1.20 x 5 = $6.00
- Nassarius Snail $1.20 x 5 = $6.00
- Scarlet Reef Hermit Crab $2.50 x 10 = $25.00
- Peppermint Shrimp $3.50 x 2 = $7.00
- Jumbo Mexican Turbo Snail $2.50 x 3 = $7.50
Subtotal:$56.00

The rules say a 175w would work in a 18" deep tank but I would also go with the 250w... the cleanup crew should be fine if the tank is mature enough... meaning if there is enough food.

Ensure you check the heat output of a 175 versus a 250 watt bulb...dont know if the difference would be that great, but could adversly affect your water temp...in any case the 175 would be fine.

250W sounds like a good choice. You may want to consider starting by using less than four fans; that could get pretty noisy. If the tank does get too warm, you could always add more.

I have one 250w and two VHO's over my 58gal and I have heat issues (fans running in canopy), so just be aware that with a 250w over a 29gal you will have some heat issues.
