Im not an expert but I think the people on this site will tell you that you need more width than 24inches for your ray. They like a lot of open space to sift through. If thats the word. But with out a lot of rock you "might" be able to pull it off while its small. The grouper will grow quick and big just to warn you though. But with all that said if you try it good luck!!!!! wish you the best.

no cali ray. They need cool water and if you have cool water your other fish may die. And a 180gal is pretty suitable for a ray when its young but a tank size that could hold the ray for its whole life would need to be a good 200gal+

if you would like a custom tank made head over to http://glasscages.com. They can make you any size of tank you want and they have some pretty big tanks that are not very expensive

i'm sorry let me add one more thing. If you want a ray with the fish you have listed i would do a yellow spotted ray. They are as easy to care for as cali's and grow about the same.
